Policies and rules concerning who to fly with in a flight
Who to fly with or what to fly with is a question that most people have been asking especially passengers who do not fly regularly. In United States, over three million pets are usually transported by air. This forced the federal and state government to come up with new rules and regulations concerning on how to transport live animals. Every airline in United States has its own policies on how to handle animals when they are being transported. There are so many policies that passengers should be aware of when they want to travel their pets.
In order to transport a dog or cat, these pets should be eight weeks old and should be weaned for around five days. Puppies or kittens which are not more than sixteen weeks should be given food. Old animals should take food and water after every twenty hours or twelve hours. Apart from that, these pets should be brought to the airline four fours earlier before they depart. Who to fly with is not something that should be taken for granted because a passenger can be turned away by the department of transportation before the flight departs because of failing to observe these rules. One thing that passengers should always keep in mind is that, rules and polices of airlines are not the same they differ. For instance in United States, the FAA allowed every airline to come up with their own pet travel policy.
